Another lonely Valentine's Day is coming up for me. I almost hate dislike that holiday as much as Christmas.
The only bright side of this holiday is that my local Clear Channel radio station is playing Gym Class Heroes' "Cupid's Chokehold." I was flipping by on my way to listen to "Loveline" thank you very much - sexually confused teenagers and sexually adventurous but clueless young adults never cease to amuse me...and of course Dr. Drew...

I was also musing about how in these days of bitch-and-ho rapping, it's nice to have a romantic-ish love song. And since Cupid is in the title it makes it very appropriate for Valentines.
Then I thought about my other favorite holiday (and other special occasions) rap songs:

Christmas - "Player's Ball" by Outkast and "Christmas in Hollis" by Run-DMC

Halloween - "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" by the Geto Boys

4th of July - "America" by Trick Daddy

Summer - "Summertime" by the Fresh Prince

Family Reunions - "T.R.O.Y." by Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth

Feel free to offer me up any other songs that I'm missing.
